Cottage Food Labels
Georgia cottage food label requirements
Georgia's official rule (Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 40-7-19-.09) prescribes an all-caps 10-point disclosure that the food is made in a cottage food operation not subject to state inspections. HB 398 (2025) removed the license and fee, imposes no sales cap, and Georgia permits online and retail/wholesale sales of properly labeled cottage foods.
